Why is Phil Desimone, a Sandy Valley real estate agent, reportedly telling people he knows from Clark County Commissioner Boggs-McDonald that Sandy Valley will be sub-divided into 1-acre lots? Has he been told something the rest of us haven't or is it a way to make a quick buck?

Quick Buck...Yes...Will it happen I hope so...

I don't believe this will happen right away, if it did happen there would be no well permits issued to the one acre lots due to the water problems out there. However if it did happen and the state water engineer issued well permits for each parcel, Say "Hello to development"

, San Bernardino county officials talk about Sandy Valley

LAS VEGAS Clark County officials and their counterparts from San Bernardino, California, have begun talking about development, water and emergency services in a community straddling the state line.

A first-of-its-kind meeting yesterday (Wednesday) in Hesperia, California, focused on growth in Sandy Valley.

That's a mostly undeveloped community about 35 miles southwest of Las Vegas that stretches into California's San Bernardino and Inyo counties.

Lynette Boggs McDonald, a Clark County commissioner who organized the discussion, called it important to share information about plans affecting both counties.

There are about one thousand homes now on the Nevada side of the line.

Officials from both states don't expect construction to slow -- especially with Clark County in the early stages of planning for a large new international airport nearby.
